catching up ...

tomorrow marks week 35.  

and he is getting bigger and bigger and my skin is showing it. stretch marks and angry red lines all over the place. that's what's going on this week.  i've switched from belly butter to belly oil and finally aquaphor healing ointment which by the way is so thick it feels like slathering peanut butter on your skin. mix that with stretchy tights and a sweater and you can only imagine the pleasure of how clothing feels against your skin.  anyhow, i'm not sure if it's helping much but it does feel a little bit better i think?    

oh and on friday i got to do a 24 hour urine test!  it's probably one of the most interesting things i've ever had to do in my life.  apparently there was protein in my urine so my doctor ordered the test which entailed collecting my pee pee in a jug around the clock and keeping it refrigerated.  i made the wise decision to work from home that day.  can you imagine the embarassment if i had to do that in the office?  chris said i could borrow my parents portable cooler and wheel that in and out of the bathroom.  he thinks he's so funny.  anyhow, results come back on monday so hopefully everything is okay.  

oh and happy belated valentine's day!  we decided to forgo lawry's.  i didn't feel like  dressing up (not much fits right now anyway) so instead we ordered a deep dish pizza, wings, and a salad and cuddled on the couch watching movies.  it was quite a romantic evening watching real steel (yes the one where robots fight robots) and the warrior (the one where brother fights brother).  BUT christopher did buy me roses (it's been years!) so i gave him a break.  now if only i could have a big fat box of chocolates.  sigh.  [ivy - add that to my list of things to bring to the hospital after baby comes ... that and a loaf of entemann's pound cake, krispy kreme chocolate glazed donut and a boba milk iced tea.] 

anyhow, just a few more weeks to go :)  so exciting!
